ABOUT US
The goal is to know and to participate in the Sustainable Development Goals SDG n ° 6 on the access of the Malagasy population to hygiene and sanitation. The objective of the project is to make artisanal soaps and share their technical skills on making artisanal soap to local communities. Their activities lean towards the training of village trainers to be built their own artisanal soap workshop, using existing local resources in their way of working.
It also aims to educate each household on the use of soap as a means to overcome infectious diseases and diarrhea which affects 40% of children in rural areas. It also sensitizes the villagers on the importance of the use of soap, not only for their personal hygiene but as a means to practice the LMS method (Washing the Hands with soap in the term of WASH).
The long-term objective of MSP is also to ensure the creation of income-generating activities for the soap-making communities by transforming them into social business and a village cooperative in order to earn income for the social benefit of the community.
