Madagascar Soap Project (MSP) and the Vitrika Association have taken a new step in their partnership by visiting the village of Sendrisoa, located 12 kilometers south of Fianarantsoa. This mission is a continuation of the training session on social entrepreneurship, recently organized in collaboration with Vitrika. This initiative brought together key members of our teams and reinforced our shared commitment to community development and the empowerment of local actors.
An Enriching Training Session
As part of this partnership, MSP had the honor of participating in an enriching training session organized with the Vitrika association, recognized for its actions in favor of rural entrepreneurship and solidarity tourism. This session highlighted the importance of social entrepreneurship as a lever for economic and social development, with a focus on ethical and responsible practices. Participants explored the fundamentals of social entrepreneurship and learned how these principles can be applied locally to generate income while meeting social and environmental needs.
Through an interactive approach, our teams have acquired key skills in project management, social innovation and resource mobilization, which are essential to carry out sustainable entrepreneurial initiatives. The feedback from the participants has been very positive, as they now feel able to turn their ideas into viable projects that will benefit the community while ensuring their livelihood.

A Mission in Sendrisoa, Haute Matsiatra
With this new expertise, the two consorts undertook a joint mission to Sendrisoa on August 17, 2024. The village, which has considerable human capital, has been particularly rigorous in this initiative. The main objective of this initiative is to present MSP and its missions, while exploring the possibility of future collaboration through the implementation of training in artisanal soap making. This training will play a crucial role in empowering villagers by providing them with new skills to improve their daily lives and income-generating activities.
A promising collaboration
The discussions with the community of Sendrisoa were very encouraging. The inhabitants, members of the Vitrika association, have expressed a keen interest in this collaboration and have shown themselves ready to take the necessary steps to start the soap-making training. This mission not only strengthened the ties between MSP and Vitrika, but it also paved the way for new community development opportunities in the region.
During this mission, the two organizations also stopped in a nearby village to bring donations from each member of the organizations to a family that lost everything in a fire. This gesture of solidarity in partnership with Vitrika was a highlight of the day, bringing comfort and hope to a family in difficulty.
Next steps
We would like to thank the Vitrika association for its commitment and continuous support. This mission to Sendrisoa marks the beginning of a series of initiatives that we plan to develop together, with the common goal of empowering local communities and creating a lasting positive impact.
The Madagascar Soap Project leaves its door open to collaborations in line with its vision with partners who share the same values, to promote inclusive and sustainable development. We invite all interested individuals and entities to follow our upcoming initiatives and join our mission for a better future for all.
